Disciplinary Rules
It is needless to emphasize that a very high degree of sense of integrity, self esteem and discipline is expected from a
medical student. A medical student of today is the physician of tomorrow who will swear by the Hippocratic oath and
Geneva Declaration on his professional conduct while engaging himself in the healing of the mankind.
Students must maintain discipline both inside and outside the campus.
Students are required to wear white full sleeved apron while attending classes and ward duties in the hospital campus they should carry the identify card.
Female students shall wear light colored salwar & kamiz with preferred shoes with full sleeved apron.
Fashionable dresses, shabby and untidy appearance are to be avoided. Prescribed dress includes white shirt, navy blue trouser, black shoes/white keds and white full sleeved apron for male students.
Smoking, being considered as an unhealthy habit, is strictly forbidden in this Institutional campus which includes college, hospital, canteen and hostels.
Raising of slogans, shouting, parading in processions within the institutional campus are strictly forbidden and shall be dealt with severe punitive measure.
Pasting of posters and writing on the walls of the college, hospital and hostel premises shall be deemed as serious acts of indiscipline on the part of students responsible for it and they shall be dealt with accordingly.
Abstentions from classes in groups of collectively without prior permission of valid reasons shall be considered as acts of indiscipline which shall be punishable with imposition of fine of Tk. 100.00 per day. Guardians shall also be informed of such activities of their wards.
Students are expected to behave well with the staff of the college and hospital.
Addictions to drugs and alcohol tantamount to moral turpitude and such offenders are liable to expulsion from the college.
Political activities shall not be encouraged in the college.
At the time of admission both the student and his/her guardian shall furnish a bond to the effects that the student shall abide by rules and regulations of the college, hospital and hostel.
Award for good academic records
Citation awards with book grants shall be ceremonially presented during each calendar year to five students of each session for their outstanding academic performances.
